Day 4
| Barossa Valley
This morning, pick up your car and depart Adelaide, heading for the hills of the Barossa Valley. One of Australia’s most famous wine regions, you’ll find sprawling vineyards, family-run wineries and boutique hotels.
Spend the afternoon enjoying a wine tasting at one of the region’s renowned cellar doors, accompanied by stunning views and some delicious nibbles.

Day 5 – Robe
Begin making your way South today, through rolling pastures and forests, then winding along the Murray River, before you reach the coast.
Navigate the stunning lakes, dunes and beaches of Coorong National Park, which makes a great stopping point. Stretch your legs with a short trail, like the Ocean Beach Hike that leaves from 42 Mile Campground and takes around an hour.
Your home for the night is the quaint seaside town of Robe, on Australia’s Limestone Coast.

Continue wiggling your way along the coast, making the first of the day’s stops in Mount Gambier. This interesting town was built on the slopes of an extinct volcano, alongside huge crater lakes. Visit the Umpherston Sinkhole, a dramatic limestone cave now housing a beautiful garden.
Soon after, you will cross the border into Victoria, passing through the state’s oldest settlement, Portland. Take a short detour to see Cape Nelson’s blowholes, and the petrified forest at Cape Bridgewater, before continuing to Port Fairy, where you’ll spend the night.

The first stop on your Tasmania tour is Bridestowe Lavender Farm. The visit will capture your senses, as you take in the rich purple rows of lavender contrasted against the red volcanic soils, and the calming aroma of the flowers. There is all manner of lavender flavoured treats to try, from ice cream to tea, or honey.
Next, visit the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees, a poignant tribute to the fallen soldiers of World War One. Continue to Bicheno, where you will spend the night. Enjoy dinner with your tour group, then, as dusk approaches, head down to the beach to watch tuxedo penguins waddle to shore (the penguin experience comes at an additional cost).
