Introducing the Great Southern

In December 2019 the Great Southern will depart Adelaide Parklands Terminal for the first time. The new route is being introduced by the company behind The Ghan and Indian Pacific so impeccable service and great onboard cuisine can be all but guaranteed.

The 3 day Great Southern rail journey from Adelaide to Brisbane stops in the mountainous Grampian National Park for an unforgettable outdoor dining experience and Canberra where you can chose a gallery or museum tour.

The 4 day Great Southern rail journey from Brisbane to Adelaide offers a choice of excursions; the Hunter Valley wine region, Port Stephens or Newcastle on day two and Melbourne or the Great Ocean Road on Day three.
