Continue on to the sacred lake of Grand Bassin, place of worship to the Hindu community and learn about its mysterious legend. Black River Gorges will be a highlight for nature lovers with its endemic fauna and flora. At the “Rhumerie de Chamarel”, a local rum distillery, the secret of rum production will be unveiled, concluding with a rum tasting session.

After a delicious lunch, you will be taken to the spectacular coloured earth of Chamarel, a unique geological phenomenon, complete with its waterfall and surrounded by lush vegetation.
