This contemporary bush camp is located in the Game Management Area just outside the Lower Zambezi National park, with access by a 20 minute transfer from Royal Airstrip. The setting is sublime with the camp dotted along the forested riverbank and overlooking the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers. This is a popular spot for elephant, and it is common to see them wade across the river, dwarfed by the mountainous escarpment beyond.

The central fireplace becomes a popular gathering spot in the evening prior to dinner which often takes place on the deck under the winterthorn trees.

Chongwe River Camp offers the full range of activities including canoeing safaris, boat cruises, 4wd game drives day and night, walking safaris. A unique experience offered by Chongwe is a sleepout experience on the escarpment which can be booked at additional cost.

Your stay at Chongwe River Camp includes all meals, selected drinks, laundry, return airstrip transfers and two safari activities per day.
