Located just outside the main park gate, Flatdogs offers a short transfer time from Mfuwe airstrip of just 35 minutes meaning you can be relaxing at your lodge in no time ready for your South Luangwa safari. There are 20 rooms comprising of chalets, tents and even a unique treehouse offering something for adults and families alike.

The open sided restaurant serves up delicious a la carte cuisine with a choice of inside or outside seating, and the bar in an adjacent area is the ideal spot for those evening sundowners. A pool offers a cool spot to escape the afternoon heat close to the river and has plenty of loungers.

Each day there are two scheduled game activities included which will allow you to seek out the astonishing variety of wildlife in South Luangwa National Park. These include 4×4 game drives and guided walking safaris.

The stone and thatch chalets are spread over 3 buildings, each with an ensuite double room downstairs and twin upstairs. They can be sold separately or merged into a family two storey unit.
