This morning dock at Chan May near Da Nang where, after breakfast, you will have the day to explore the area. Some of the options include a visit to the heritage town of Hoi An for a walking tour around its charming streets, or a visit to the former imperial city of Hue with its beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda and imposing Citadel.

Dock around midday in Halong Bay, famous the world over for its stunning scenery. You may like to take a boat ride around this beautiful bay with its intriguing rock formations that rise abruptly from the sea. Alternatively, head inland to visit Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi with its mix of ancient temples and elegant colonial architecture. The ship leaves this evening for the journey north.
