Day 2 – Cu Chi Tunnels
Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a vast network used during the Vietnam War, just 75 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Experience a short segment of this underground village and, for those interested, try shooting an AK rifle at a local range (optional).
After lunch, explore Saigon’s highlights, including the historic Presidential Palace, where North Vietnamese tanks entered in 1975, and the colonial-era Notre-Dame Cathedral, Post Office, and City Hall. Stroll through Dong Khoi Street and visit Ben Thanh Market, a symbol of the city where you can shop for local crafts, textiles, and souvenirs.

Return to Ninh Kieu Pier by 10am. Next, visit the Binh Thuy Ancient House, known for its unique blend of Eastern feng-shui and Western French villa design.

Day 11 – Khao Yai National Park
After breakfast, depart for Khao Yai National Park. Begin with a visit to the park headquarters, then hike through the dry evergreen forest, where you might spot gibbons, monkeys, and hornbills. Next, visit the Haew Suwat Waterfall (famous from The Beach) and enjoy lunch nearby.
In the afternoon, relax at a stunning viewpoint atop the park’s second-highest mountain. End the day by checking for wild elephants at the salt licks before returning around 6:30 pm.
