Day 1 to 3 - Melbourne
Arrive into Melbourne to experience what this cosmopolitan city has to offer. Discover museums and galleries, explore the parks and gardens, or take a historic tram to St Kilda beach, where you can sample the city’s lively cafe culture. Further afield are the vineyards of the Yarra Valley, the fairy penguins of Phillip Island or the magnificent scenery of the Great Ocean Road.
Day 4 to 7 - Adelaide
This morning fly into Adelaide, South Australia’s capital, famous for its great food and wine. From here you can visit the famous Barossa Valley and take a day trip to the spectacularly beautiful Kangaroo Island. Or simply enjoy the bustling city markets, museums, galleries and gardens around North Terrace.
Day 8 to 11 - Alice Springs/Ayers Rock
Take a flight to Australia’s Outback this morning. Discover the history and magic of Alice Springs and Ayers Rock on this 5 day tour. Spending two nights in Alice Springs with a trip to the historic Telegraph Station, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Reptile Centre and for fantastic photo opportunities, your tour will take you to Anzac Hill. Lastly enjoy a two night stay at Ayers Rock with a sunrise, sunset and Kata Tjuta tour as well as a day trip to Kings Canyon where you have the opportunity to climb its towering rim or walk through the boulder-strewn canyon floor.
Day 12 to 14 - Darwin
Fly up to Darwin this morning to spend your time enjoying the remarkable sunsets on the harbour, or if you’re looking for adventure travel via the meandering Adelaide River deep into the plains of the Kakadu National Park. Make a stop to view its Aboriginal rock art. Why not cruise on the Yellow Water Billabong for a chance to spot crocodiles or cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles, before flying to the Queensland resort of Cairns.
Day 15 to 21 - Cairns
This morning fly east to Cairns, for a relaxing seven days in tropical North Queensland. On arrival into Cairns, spend the next couple of days at leisure. Why not take a cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef for a chance to snorkel among the colourful marine life. For fantastic views across Cairns, glide silently above the treetops on the Skyrail Cableway, or further north you can explore the fabulous beaches of Palm Cove and Port Douglas.
Day 22 to 26 - Sydney
Board a flight to Sydney this morning. Home to the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House, Sydney has so much to see and do, from museums, and galleries, to parks and gardens, plus the famous Bondi and Manly beaches. Visit Manly Beach on a ferry returning late in the afternoon to catch a glimpse of the sunset across the city skyline, but top of the list here is a day trip to the iconic Blue Mountains.
Day 27 - Farewell
Bid farewell to the grand and vibrant city of Sydney as you make your way back to the UK.
