On arrival into Mfuwe Airport, you will be met by your guide and driven to Kafunta River lodge, located on the banks of the Luangwa River. Depending on your arrival time, you may be able to enjoy an afternoon safari, to seek out some of the park’s amazing array of wildlife.
Over the next two days you can enjoy morning and afternoon game activities, exploring the wildlife-rich Mfuwe area of the park. Look out for the big cats, notably leopard for which this park is famous, as well as herds of buffalo, antelope as well as endemic species such as Thorneycroft’s Giraffe. You can do this either by open safari vehicle or an exhilarating guided walking safari for which the park is legendary.
In between the excitement of game viewing, enjoy time to relax by the pool, book a spa treatment or simply watch wildlife from your viewing deck.
Day 4 to 6 – Visit Victoria Falls

During low water season (typically October-November) it is also possible to head down to the Boiling Pot at the base of the waterfall and gaze up to the rim, to appreciate the sheer magnitude of the Falls.
