Forest Lodge derives its name from the ancient Milkwood forest that surrounds it. Grootbos Nature Reserve is located around two hours away from Cape Town, looking down over scenic Walker Bay, where you can even spot whales from land. The private reserve spans 2,500 hectares, and it is incredibly biodiverse. In fact, it is home to an array of fynbos species found nowhere else on earth.
Grootbos’ Forest Lodge is perfectly located for you to enjoy a serene and luxurious escape, whilst getting close to nature, boasting 16 luxurious suites and a fantastic vantage point over the mountains and the bay, making it a great spot for whale watching from June to December.
