Kruger Shalati has 24 suites in the converted train, located on the bridge over the Sabie River. Each carriage suite offers a luxurious feel with smart, contemporary décor adorned with locally sourced artwork. Each carriage suite as available as wither a double or twin configuration and features an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath tub.

The Carriage Suites feature air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, a well-stocked minibar, with large picture windows make the rooms bright and provides vantage points over the river below. Most of suites also have small decks or balconies, that allow guests to enjoy sunrise, sunset, and wildlife sightings in comfort.

An eye-catching overhanging pool with a viewing deck is also located on the bridge providing guests with a place to relax whilst watching for Big Five wildlife and birds and gazing at the river below.

Kruger Shalati’s Bridge House Suites add to the railway experience with seven elegantly decorated suites that offer remarkable views adjacent to the bridge and Sabie River. Situated in a picture-perfect garden setting, the Bridge House suites are furnished with King-sized or twin beds, with spacious bathrooms comprising of freestanding baths, double vanities and rainfall showers.

Each Bridge House suite has a private deck with views across to the train and down to the Sabie River, where wildlife comes and goes throughout the day. One of the seven rooms is an exclusive honeymoon suite featuring its own private plunge pool.

All guests accommodated at the Bridge House Suites benefit from riverside two plunge pools as well as access to the train’s deck and pool.

Kruger Shalati is perfectly positioned within the Kruger National Park, meaning the exceptional wildlife and bird viewing can be done without leaving the hotel.

However, for the best wildlife experiences, it is possible to join an expert ranger in an open-top vehicle to go in search of Africa’s ‘Big 5’. Two ranger guided game drives are included during each day of your stay.

Arrival Lounge: Everyone will enter Kruger Shalati through the arrival lounge, decorated in keeping with the rest of the resort. Guests can also return to this area at any time to relax on the sofas, reed a book from the library, or chat with other guests and staff.

Dining Room: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in your Kruger Shalati stay, and they are served either inside the Bridge House Restaurant (next to the arrival lounge) or on the outside terrace.

Swimming Pools: There are two round plunge pools and a pool deck/lounge area next to the Sabie River and the bridge. There is a third plunge pool and deck in the centre of the bridge overlooking the river.

Spa Treatments: Traditional massages, facials, aromatherapy, and hot stone massages, can be administered in the privacy of the your guest suite.
