Holidays to Giraffe Manor & Kenya
The ambiance, exquisite cuisine and fabulous 1930’s décor at Giraffe Manor would alone be the talking point of most holidays, but for the spotted legs that appeared by your window and gentle face that gracefully looped inside seeking breakfast treats!
A stay at Giraffe Manor offers a wildlife experience like no other and is a wonderful addition to any East Africa holiday.
Breakfast With Giraffes
The hotel’s star residents, 10 Rothschild’s giraffe, live across the lawn at the Giraffe Centre, a charity working to protect the specie that was once critically endangered.
Your first interaction with these elegant giants is during afternoon tea on the day of your arrival, when after enjoying sandwiches and scones, befitting the style of the manor house, you can hand feed the giraffes their favourite grass pellets.
In the morning, the giraffes cross the hotel grounds by their own accord to take breakfast with its guests. Whilst your fresh fruit and pastries are generally safe, the pellets on your table will soon be discovered by a wide-eyed face on the end of a beautifully decorated neck stretching inside the breakfast room window.
During the day you can also wonder over to the Giraffe Centre, to see the giraffes once more and learn about their conservation.
