Australia was filmed in several locations in the Northern Territory but mainly Darwin, the capital city.
Unforgiven was filmed at The Ranch at Fisher Creek in Alberta, Canada.
Maya Bay, Phi Phi Islands was damaged by the influx of tourists after the movie’s release, leading to its closure in 2018. It’s closure was successful, with the coral reef growing back and wildlife returning, allowing the bay to be opened to limited numbers of tourists earlier this year.
The wild savannahs of Kenya served as both the inspiration and a filming site for Disney’s The Lion King. The stunning landscapes, including the Maasai Mara and other iconic Kenyan locations, helped shape the visual world of this beloved animated classic.
